ECOBoard International B.V. is an company that was established at the end of 2011 to supply a cost effective Ecoboard and equipment chain. Together with our partners we try to enable the production of high quality particleboard panels in commercial quantities.
By using fast-growing agricultural and horticultural materials that are normally considered waste and building on an established technology. In particular by using an ecologically gluing system, which completely eliminates harmful emissions of urea formaldehyde. With great attention to a healthy living environment at home and at the office.
Because we started in areas where waste from residual streams was a big problem, after many years of research and development we now have an extensive and mature product range that has also obtained necessary certifications and will also be rewarded with Co2 tax in the future. And that the product is suitable for multiple manufacturing industries and diverse markets.
After years of starting in Asia, we now help new partners worldwide on other continents who develop these similar panels with knowledge and experience. This helps us and them to distribute our product more easily and faster worldwide. It is a great ambition and dream that Europe will also take these steps, in view of the current developments in the world market!
Why ECO-Boards® and Ecoboard®
ECOBoards/Ecoboard Biobased Panels are made from agricultural residues such as straw-like materials. And are bound together with over 95% and up natural lignin from the cellulose fibers. With only a few % additives that contain no formaldehyde or other VOC’s.
ECO-Boards are a healthy and ecological alternative for chipboards, MDF, OSB or Plywood and can be used for a wide range of applications They surpass the structural properties of wood based panels and can be cross-referenced to any relevant international standard Certificates such as CE Class P 4 EN 13986:and EN 326-2 done by EPH Germany, FSC Group certificate 100 % done in NL Global CU-COC—828395-NI and CARB done by SCS global USA # SCS-EPA-000638. LCA, EPD (Environmental Product Declaration ) VERIFIED in 2022!
ECO-Boards have a NEGATIVE Carbon Footprint of MINUS – 0.98 kg so they actually store or sequestrate CO2 about their own weight! ECOBoards can be used in virtually all applications where conventional boards are used, like the furniture & interior decoration industries, building & construction industries and for industrial packaging.
Due to the fact that formaldehyde-free added resin (NAF) is used, ECOBoards/Ecoboard have emission levels far below the strict European formaldehyde regulations (E0) and the USA (HUD 24) standards.
ECO-Boards can be suitable for use in environmentally sensitive areas such as schools, hospitals, retirement homes and any other healthcare facilities. It is also very well suited for children’s furniture or any other flat pack furniture.
