How was Ecoboards born.

ECOBoards is a completely healthy bio based circular sheet material, made from residual fibers from agriculture and horticulture.

The advantage is that waste streams from various harvests can be used, they are various residual streams that are usually burned or composted as a waste problem.

After the harvest, the residual waste is collected for a small fee and sent to our processing factory for processing. Here the residual flow is processed and shaped to the wishes specified by the production facility. After everything is correct, it only ends up in the Silo after which the production process can start.

The result is an Ecoboards that scores much better on sustainability than other panels currently on the market that require forests to be cut.

Fire Resistancy.

Standard ECO-Boards are standard flame retardant for 20-30 minutes from factory standard China only verifiable from factory certificate, as they scorch rather than burn (see factory video).

But this year we will also be offering a offer a full range of fire classes from 45 minutes to 120 minutes with an EU certificate.

We have been working with a Corporation Dutch partner for quite some time www.fire-resistant.nl is located in the Netherlands and we have the possibility to treat afterwards on location to obtain a process certificate EN 13501-1, class B-S2-D0 guaranteed by them.

NEN 13501-1 class B

The special fire retardant ECOBoard easily exceeds the new European standard for fire and smoke development NEN 13501-1 class B. The fire retardant ECOBoard has excellent product processing properties and a burning behavior reaching flame resistance of level B1, as well as various higher physical chemical properties.

How ECOBoards is Moisture Resistancy.

ECO-Boards are more moisture resistant and are specified for use in strenuous damp domestic interior conditions where dimensional stability is maintained and structural integration is of great importance.

Insulating & Constructive Properties

ECOBoard Softboard was pressed under lower pressure in order to maintain the voids of the straws, meaning the thermal conductivity therefore is close to that of foamed plastic while still being less than 0.65 W/(m*K). The thermal capacity is higher than that of inorganic materials. Therefore ECOBoards can be used both as Constructive and Insulating panel with a higher permeability than OSB.

Specific Properties

High Strength, Lighter Weight

The excellent strength to weight ratio makes handling of the product on-site very easy.

Screw Tightness: Superior screw holding ability means that a wide choice of fittings can be used.

  • BSEN 312 P4 to P1
  • ANSI A208.1
  • NEN, etc

Machineable

ECO-Boards are made in a single layer process giving homogenous consistency throughout its thickness, similar to MDF. Its superior internal bond (cross tensile) allows smooth strong profiling and sharp machined edges CNC operation is excellent !

Finishing

Ecoboards are smooth sanded, Ecoboards create an excellent finish and readily accept melamine,, paper foil laminates, biobased paints , and biobased- or wood veneers.

Painting after priming gives excellent results.

We can advise a group of full biobased finishings ,coatings , green paints also a C2C paint.
